No-One Is An Outcast At Victory Outreach International
If you have been to church before, looking for a way to free yourself from your demons and hoping that the church would be your sanctuary, then you may have been turned away before. We welcome many people who have been rejected by national churches. Including Catholic churches and Baptist missions, because they are seen as worthless addicts with nothing to contribute towards the church. Rather than be like those churches, we have a policy of taking in those at the very lowest edge of society, shunned by others.
We accept everyone. Including “Society’s castoffs and dropouts”. Ex-gang members, drug addicts and prostitutes… people desperate for a miracle of their own. We understand that they are the people that need the most help. And believe that we can reach out to them through obedience to the faith. And a willingness to sacrifice your old self, and become part of the Victory Outreach mission.
A Place To Redemption
Victory Outreach has been working in the outcast community since 1967. More than 50 years of saving addicts and gang members. We believe that we can offer addicts a high success rate. Around “75…to 85-percent success rate against recidivism“, based upon our recovery and transitional homes for both men and women. Those completing the programs, which usually last for between 9 months and slightly more than a year, have managed to turn their lives around.
Many people who have been through the Victory Outreach mission program believe that they would not have recovered if it weren’t for our teams. In fact, most believe that they would be in prison or dead. Prostitutes who have been working for decades on LA’s streets, and thieves and addicts who have been imprisoned more than a dozen times have been redeemed through Victory Outreach.
In Los Angeles, they have even founded a mission in the notorious 28th Street. Where crime rates and gang violence are exceptionally high.
A Place For Recovery
The mission is more than just a place for people who are trying to come off of drugs. Or find a way out of gang membership. In fact, we believe that our worldwide mission, with “more than 700 churches and centers worldwide“, is also a place of respite. With programs that are designed to help people struggling in marriages. With anger management. Or with other social issues which need to be addressed.
We provide help groups for our addicts as well as guidance for young people who have been considered as ‘at risk’ by society. Our missions will also work with families, trying to bring them together to a place of healing. With our faith-based groups, people who have been struggling around the world can find help and healing.
